Plex has added a new feature that could greatly increase interest in its free movie option. There is no longer a need to sign in as a Plex user to access the free movies available through Plex AVOD. The option has been free to any Plex user regardless of whether the user was a Plex Pass member or not. But Plex has always had a sign in requirement in order to access its features. By removing this it means that users who want to check out not only the movies but the Web Shows, News and podcasts.
Removing this barrier will likely allow many more users who otherwise thought that they had to pay for the service to walk right in the front door and begin to enjoy some of its newest features right from the start.
The new feature allows people to access the features just as easily as if they were doing so on YouTube or Pluto TV.
The no sign in feature is already available with Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV and Android mobile devices.
