New On Sundance Now For July

We are at Mid June so of course we now look to July to see what is coming our way from premium streaming service, Sundance Now. There is a lot to check out from new shows to returning series. This summer we will see a star studded entry Friends with Money Bringing Jennifer Aniston back to the screen along with a bevy of other TV and movie veterans. Also coming will be more episodes from from the Bureau. See the full lineup below.

Based on the book by Carolina Neurath, this financial thriller follows young financial journalist Bea Farkas (Julia Ragnarsson, Midsommar), who is having a secret affair with bank director Peder Rooth (Matias Varela, Narcos). She knows it’s unprofessional – it’s her job to investigate people like him – but she’s in love and can’t bring herself to end it. But when she’s given the assignment to monitor the bank’s quarterly report, she soon senses that Peder is hiding something. (8 EPS, Available all at once)

Another episode of the addicting British psychological thriller. A vital piece of evidence comes to light. Laura, blindsided, seeks to discover its origin, and with Katy and Liam’s help, she’s led to a startling new suspect.

THE BUREAU Season 5, Ep 3 (Sundance Now Original)

Another episode of the critically acclaimed French spy thriller. Pavel Lebedev starts his job at the FSB and Bakatine, one of the Internal Security agents, is suspicious of him. Getting more and more paranoid about Russia by the day, JJA tries to contact Pavel to assign him a mission. Sisteron is sent to Cairo to verify whether or not Marie-Jeanne is behind the leaks. Meanwhile, Marie-Jeanne takes on a new trainee – Salim, the sheikh’s son. The Bureau manages to track César down in Phnom Penh; the FSB asks him to run a group of expert hackers specializing in certain forms of cyber warfare.

The film addresses often overlooked issues of race and the outdoors as it follows the team up the mountain, chronicling the many challenges of climbing one of the world’s most iconic peaks. Despite his borderline attitude and the fear this arouses in Sisteron, JJA manages to track down the source of the article. Marina helps Mille Sabord prepare the next step in his mission. When he questions her about Paul Lefebvre’s past – the man who disappeared in Ukraine – JJA has to step in and handle him. César messes up badly during a big hacking op. Nadia gets a strange message from the love of her life. Pavel Lebedev finally accepts JJA’s deal: he’ll recruit Karlov.

THE SECRETS SHE KEEPS (Sundance Now Exclusive)

Based on a novel by Michael Robotham, this drama builds on an encounter between two heavily pregnant women in a supermarket just outside of Sydney. While Meghan (Jessica De Gouw, Arrow, The Crown) is an upwardly mobile social media influencer, Agatha (Laura Carmichael, Downton Abbey) struggles to get by, working a low-wage job without any spousal support. Both have secrets that gradually emerge as their lives collide. Also starring Michael Dorman (Patriot).

THE BUREAU Season 5, Ep 5

Nadia and Pavel Lebedev spend some time together in Moscow, with Karlov’s blessing. Marina comes to help Mille Sabord on the ground. Pavel provides a file on Karlov, but Ponte refuses to endorse his recruitment, fearing it might compromise César’s mission. JJA gets upset. Now, Ponte is also starting to doubt JJA’s power of judgment. Mille Sabord gets a little closer to a Saudi Intelligence agent and finds leverage for recruitment.
