Ignite TV, a Canadian pay TV option from Rogers Cable has struck a deal with Tubi TV, which with integrate the streaming service into interactive set-top boxes from the company. Ignite, which is similar to the popular Xfinity TV system touted by Comcast integrates streaming apps with traditional cable channels to build a more all-encompassing feel as opposed to having TV channels and a whole separate app experience. This means that users will use the same system to call up Tubi movies as they would going to their favorite news channel.
This is Tubi first big move since being acquired by FOX. No doubt, with the reach that a major power player like FOX can provide we will likely see Tubi in more places soon.
