Xumo Adding New Spanish Language Channels

IRVINE, CA (Sept 28, 2022)—Xumo, a pioneer in streaming television and media entertainment, today announced a new slate of programming, launched in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM). The content includes three reimagined Telemundo channels: Al Día, Lo Mejor de Telemundo and Historias de Amor. In addition, Xumo is adding programming from other major providers, including Sony Comedias, Los Pitufos, the Spanish-language version of the popular animated series The Smurfs and Madre, a new limited edition channel available on Xumo until October 15th as well as AMERICATEVÉ, coming soon.

Al Día: This channel offers award-winning and popular daily news, entertainment, and sports clips from the most trusted source for the U.S. Hispanic community such as Noticias Telemundo, Telemundo Deportes, Al Rojo Vivo, and more.

Lo Mejor de Telemundo (formerly Telemundo Realities): Highlighting the best of Telemundo’s top Spanish-language library and fan favorite dramas andreality shows, this channel features original stories and celebrities with massive cross-generational fandom and appeal with series such as I Love JenniCaso Cerrado, and El Señor de los Cielos,  among others.

Historias de Amor (formerly Telemundo Novelas): Showcasing over 1,600 hours of Telemundo’s most loved romantic comedies and emotionally-charged dramatic sagas of love and revenge, this channel features Pasión de Gavilanes, Aurora, Flor Salvaje, La Impostora, La Patrona,  Una Maid en Manhattan, and more

 

Sony Comedias: Highlighting the best Spanish-language comedies, this channel includes select content such as “Casados Con Hijos” (“Married With Children”), “Aqui No Hay Quien Viva,” “Quién Manda a Quien?” (“Who’s the Boss”) and “Mi Bella Genio” (“I Dream of Jeannie”).

Los PitufosThis channel is the Spanish-language edition of popular animated kids’ series The Smurfs that features the adventures of beloved tiny blue creatures who live in mushroom houses in a peaceful forest but must repeatedly outwit a clever cast of lively foes.

Madre: Streaming now, this channel is limited edition pop-up. Live from Sept 15—Oct 15, it features the full series Madre, a story of 7-year-old Melek, who, ignored and mistreated by her mother, becomes mother/daughter with her teacher.

AMERICATEVÉ: Coming soon, AMERICATEVÉ offers everything from news, analysis, and opinion to general entertainment such as soap operas, comedy, and original productions–streaming live more than 15 hours a day with content that has garnered more than 100 Emmy awards.
