Sky Stream is the new offering from Sky TV that delivers the company’s satellite-based service via the Internet giving customers a new option to get ahold of the technology stack and TV/Streaming options otherwise accessed via “Glass”.
According to Samuel Gibbs, Technology Editor from The Guardian, the new device performs its tasks quite well as long as users have at least a 10 Mbps Internet connection in the home. With a compact and easy-to-set-up set-top box and all of the needed bells and whistles built into the software the Sky Stream experience is workable and universal.
The new system has access to all of the latest software updates that have come to the platforms since, what the publication initially called a not-ready-for-prime-time debut. With streaming being the obvious future of home entertainment delivery the new product puts Sky TV on a path to success going forward.
