Roku TV’s Now Available In Brazil

Roku’s not so secret weapon in the platform world has been the Roku Powered TV Licensing program. The company known for its signature streaming boxes has spent the last six years expanding into new markets by licensing its operating system to manufacturers around the world. Its latest partner, the largest manufacturer of monitors in the world, TPV (Top Victory Electronics) the will bring the platform to one of the largest media markets in the world via the AOC brand.

The TV’s will run the standard version of the Roku operating system translated to fit the market and will allow users to access a number of popular streaming services including Netflix and a bevy of more localized services like Globoplay, the largest Brazilian streaming platform. By partnering with services native to new markets the platform sets itself up with a good chance to weave its way into the mainstream.
