Pluto TV is proving to be a valuable asset in the ViacomCBS tool kit. The streaming platform will be a new ad-supported outlet for multiple CBS owned properties starting this summer. Pluto TV has a large audience and is found on just about every major streaming platform and smart TVs. It should not be expected that this is the last time CBS content will find its way to the ever growing grid as CBS has announced plans to revamp/rebrand its CBS All-Access app. Pluto TV has become a standard setter in the streaming world and appears to have a strong role to play with the company.
“Pluto TV is the leading free streaming television service in America and is distinguished by both the quantity and quality of its content,” said Tom Ryan, CEO and Co-Founder of Pluto TV. “With over 100,000 hours of unique content in the US alone, now supplemented by these iconic ViacomCBS franchises, Pluto TV is one of the broadest and deepest streaming services in the world, and guaranteed to offer something for everyone, on any device, for free.”
This summer Pluto TV will add the following series from CBS’s award-winning library, with additional shows to follow:
- Star Trek: The Next Generation
- The Amazing Race
- Beverly Hills 90210
- America’s Next Top Model
- CSI: NY and CSI: Miami
- Everybody Hates Chris
- Melrose Place
- Sister Sister
In addition, Pluto TV will debut select episodes from Seasons 1-10 of the revered Comedy Central hit South Park.
The new CBS properties will appear on Pluto TV’s owned and operated channels and join a diverse library of channels and categories including sports (NFL Channel, Major League Soccer, PGA Tour, CBS Sports HQ, beIN Sports Xtra and more); binge-worthy and binge-watch, fan-favorite channels (Stories by AMC, Degrassi, Baywatch, MTV’s The Hills, RuPaul’s Drag Race VH1 and more); Latino programming (including The Walking Dead en Espanol, Forensic Files en Espanol, Nick Latino, Comedy Central Latino, and more); News and Opinion (CBSN, NBC News, CNN, CBS local channels, and others); hit movies, cult classics and blockbuster films available on Pluto TV.
