New PBS Kids Show Will Stream Through Amazon Channels

PBS will be bringing an old face/name out of the box with a new take on Donkey Hodie (do you see what they did there?) This May, PBS Distribution will be adding the brand new series, DONKEY HODIE, to the PBS KIDS Prime Video Channel. The series will follow Donkey Hodie, granddaughter of the original Donkey Hodie character from MISTER ROGERS’ NEIGHBORHOOD, now known as “Grampy Hodie”. The new preschool puppet series arrives with three volumes of fun and entertainment.

Children will follow Donkey and her pals as they go on exciting, music-filled adventures while learning valuable lessons about resilience, persistence and problem solving in the process. DONKEY HODIE, a whimsical, new PBS KIDS puppet series produced by Fred Rogers Productions (DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD) and Spiffy Pictures (NATURE CAT), will encourage preschoolers to aim high, embrace challenges and work hard to achieve their goals. Inspired by the quirky, funny side of Fred Rogers, DONKEY HODIE furthers the children’s TV pioneer’s mission of helping young viewers navigate the challenges of childhood.

The series features original music along with reimagined versions of Rogers’ songs. Also coming to the channel, “PINKALICIOUS & PETERRIFIC: Volume 10,” and “DANIEL TIGER’S NEIGHBORHOOD: Volume 17.”

The subscription rate for the PBS KIDS Prime Video Channel is $4.99/month with an Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscription. Every purchase supports public television for all.

Families can also find full episodes of PBS KIDS series for free on their local PBS stations, the PBS KIDS 24/7 channel and PBS KIDS digital platforms, including pbskids.org and the PBS KIDS Video app.
