Disney+ enters the latest chapter of its MCU TV shows. Loki is now streaming on the platform giving Marvel fans another taste of the universe that spans a decade and 20+ movies. The new series concentrates on Loki, the trickster god of Norse Mythology who is also the adoptive brother of Thor in the Marvel Universe.
The Loki character has had a complicated story in the MCU. he was the villain of the first Thor movie and The Avengers but became an anti-hero as the MCU continued to develop, eventually sacrificing himself in Avengers Infinity War. But in the follow-up, Avengers End Game we saw some timey whimmy shenanigans that brought us back to the scene of the first Avengers film. This sequence allowed Loki’s past self to escape from the capture that actually led to his redemption.
This is a long and twisted way of saying bad Loki is back for more action. The new series will be centered around the adventures of a Loki who has yet to be redeemed. But the audience will know throughout that he has the potential to go another way.
Marvel fans will probably eat the series up as they have from the start of the new TV shows.
