Kobra Kai Will Have New Streaming Home

The one breakout streaming hit from YouTube’s original TV show venture should be coming to a popular streaming home near you when season four rolls out. Kobra Kai, a show that tells the story of characters from the Karate Kid after the events of The Karate Kid 3 launched to great excitement as one of YouTube Red’s new original shows. The success was punctuated by 55 million views of the first episode.

Over the past three years YouTube has moved on from the idea of producing original content as it has further concentrated efforts at its core business and YouTube TV cable replacement service.

The decision for where the show lives next will be with Sony. Netflix and Hulu have been listed as possibilities and would make sense considering the size of their platforms.
