Despite hopes that the Fire TV would be available by the weekend and photo evidence that it was in fact on the way the Amazon website still does not have the item in stock. Because Amazon has yet to release a date for the availability of the Fire TV there has been heavy yet unsupported speculation that the company will be releasing a new model soon. The speculation is based primarily in leaked specs for what certainly appeared to be a new streaming device.
